In the gospel reading this past Sunday during the First Week of Advent, Jesus calls us to “Watch.”  In order to watch for His coming, we must be able to know what we are watching.  Scripture is a great place to discover what Christ calls us to watch.  During the season of Advent instead of doing a weekly written reflection, I will be doing daily videos reflection on the scriptures.  The reflections can be found on our youtube page at St. Paul Catholic Church – YouTube.  I will be reflecting on the following for the upcoming weeks:

1st Week of Advent:  Annunciation of the angel Gabriel to Mary (Luke 1:26-38)

2nd Week of Advent:  Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth (Luke 1:39-56)

3rd Week of Advent:  Birth of Christ (Luke 2:1-7)

4th Week of Advent:  Announcement of Christ’s Birth to the Shepherds (Luke 2:8-20)
